Our Story

Lamp Arts, Inc has served the Atlanta community since 1949 and was purchased by the Thompson family in 2004. The company has continued to grow with this incredible city thanks to our loyal customers – many of whom we're on first name basis with. Though design trends will inevitably change the main goal of Lamp Arts will not; to deliver a customer service experience as unique and dependable as the products and services we offer. Our staff has more than 75 years of combined experience helping everyone from new homeowners and interior designers to commercial businesses and the hospitality industry with their lighting needs. Whatever lighting needs you may have, large or small, we hope you let us become a part of your story.

Lamp Arts Owners

Bo Thompson
Bo is originally from Bostwick, GA, graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He entered the fertilizer industry after college, rapidly ascending the corporate ladder from local sales, to regional, to international sales with several different companies who recognized his business knowledge and negotiating abilities. Relocating back to Atlanta after many corporate moves created the opportunity for Bo to take control of his future with the purchase of Lamp Arts in 2004.
Tina Perrott Thompson
Tina is originally from Columbus, GA, attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Fina Arts Degree in Interior Design through the Franklin College. Her career began in residential design, morphed to corporate design, then Design Build in both categories. She has been an active member of ASID since 1991 and is NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) qualified. Projects have included restorations, renovations, and from the ground up, including all finishes, electrical, lighting and furnishings.
Hunter Thompson
Hunter, like his parents, is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He received degrees in Housing and Consumer Economics through the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. A familiarity with the business and a desire to grow it led Hunter to join the company full time in 2012. He earned his stripes by developing an understanding of the lighting industry from the inside out. This included everything from understanding wiring patterns and thread counts to identifying period lighting and its place of origin. This sound functional understanding combined with a unique creativity has allowed him to develop at Lamp Arts unlike anywhere else.
